Catholics wake up to Justin Trudeau's pro-abortion agenda (the series)

I know of Catholics who will vote for Justin Trudeau. I know of Catholics who are unaware of his pro-abortion ideology. Unbelievable but true.

Now we hear that Justin Trudeau wants Canadians to fund abortions overseas as part of the Maternal, newborn and child health initiative.

This is just one more attack on the sanctity of human life, brought to you by the most pro-abortion leader Canadians have ever known.

We already know that Justin Trudeau won't let pro-life people be part of the Liberal party. Not unless they agree to park their pro-life consciences at the door. He even uses his Catholic faith as some kind of perverse justification for his pro-abortion stand:
“As someone who was raised Roman Catholic, and who attended a Jesuit school, I understand that it is difficult for people of deep faith to set their beliefs aside in order to serve Canadians who may not share those beliefs.” (From Justin Trudeau's book Common Ground)
Jonathon Van Maren says this about Trudeau:
"Justin’s comments on the Catholic Church throughout his memoir betray the fact that he is about as Catholic as the rest of Quebec—which is to say, not at all. He appreciates the spirituality, the historicity, the tradition—but not the irritating moral obligations, such as the obligation to protect all human life or the recognition of natural law. He is counting on the fact that most voters—and many Catholics—will not examine his claims too closely, and thus he will don the cultural garb of Catholicism without any of the restraints."
Justin Trudeau also thinks the Charter of Rights and Freedoms includes a right to abortion. It doesn't.

Justin Trudeau also thinks the Canada Health Act includes abortion. It doesn't. See here.

Wake up people. A vote for Justin Trudeau is a vote for a pro-abortion agenda.

(To know more about Justin Trudeau and his pro-abortion agenda, the following links will take you all to my blog posts on the Liberal leader. Note that each page has multiple blog postings:)

Canada gets it but Justin Trudeau doesn't

Ah, Justin Trudeau. He's so predictable. At yesterday's pride parade in Toronto he said:
“I’ve seen so many people from every corner of the world, literally,” Mr. Trudeau said, adding that he’d spoken with people from Australia, South Africa and Jamaica earlier in the day. “[Canada] is a place that actually gets it, that stands up for human rights around the world and welcomes people in.” (emphasis added)
Trudeau believes in human rights. For lesbian people. For gay people. For bisexual people. For transgender people.

But Trudeau doesn't believe in those same Canadian human rights for pre-born human beings. They are excluded from Trudeau's human rights list.

I wonder how many LGBT people are aborted every year in Canada? They'll never get to be a candidate for the Liberal party. Because they don't have human rights when in the womb.

For more Justin Trudeau  and his unique belief system on excluding pro-life people from "his" party:

Justin Trudeau - his priorities are all messed up

Justin Trudeau says we aren't at war with ISIS.
"The Liberal government says Canada is not at war with Islamic militants -- a view not shared by ally France. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion are rejecting the "at war" label just one day after the bombings in Brussels that killed more than 30 people and injured 270.
After the attacks, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Europe was "at war."
The bombings in Brussels came four months after the attacks in Paris that left 130 dead. The militant group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant has claimed responsibility for both incidents. Trudeau, who made his comments during a CBC Radio interview, and Dion -- speaking in the House of Commons foyer today -- both say the conflict with ISIS does not fit the true definition of war."
So Instead of fighting ISIS (like we should be doing) we instead want to abort babies around the world.

What does this tell us? It tells us that Canada is at war with babies. You see ISIS can defend itself. Pre-born babies can't. They are defenseless. So they are much easier to kill. Oh, and Trudeau thinks being a feminist is such a great old thing. Feminists also have no problem killing pre-born babies.

ISIS might fight back but babies can't. I think Justin Trudeau is afraid of ISIS but Justin Trudeau is not afraid of pre-born babies. Pre-born babies can easily be killed without retaliating in any way. Not so with ISIS.

Canada is back? No Justin Trudeau, Canada is just all messed up now that you are Prime Minister.

I am embarrassed for Justin Trudeau. I am embarrassed for Canada.

Time for change in Ottawa-Vanier

The following quotes regarding abortion were made by Liberal leader Justin Trudeau:
It’s not for any government to legislate what happens – what a woman chooses to do with her body."
(Justin Trudeau doesn't understand basic biology: a fetus is not part of a woman's body, it is a separate human being.)

I have made it clear that future candidates need to be completely understanding that they will be expected to vote pro-choice on any bills.”

(Justin Trudeau discriminates against pro-life persons.)

"Since 1988, the Supreme Court of Canada has affirmed that a woman's right to choose in this matter is part of her fundamental rights and freedoms. And the Liberal party is the party of the Charter. And Canadians need to count on the fact that Liberals, with our votes, will defend women's rights and Charter rights."

(Justin Trudeau doesn't understand the Canadian Charter of rights and freedoms or the
1988 Morgentaler decision. There is no Charter right to abortion and the Supreme Court never recognized a Charter right to abortion. See morgentalerdecision.ca)

As someone who was raised Roman Catholic, and who attended a Jesuit school, I understand that it is difficult for people of deep faith to set their beliefs aside in order to serve Canadians who may not share those beliefs.”

(Justin Trudeau expects Catholics to set aside their beliefs in order to qualify for public office. Does he expect Muslims or Jews, or those of any other religious faith to set their beliefs aside too? And do Catholics have to set aside just their beliefs about abortion? What about other beliefs Catholics hold like duty to help the poor, to respect and be good stewards of God's creation, to minister to the sick, etc. Do Catholics have to set aside those beliefs too? Why does Justin's belief system (that abortion is a "woman's right") trump the belief system of others?)

But for me, this is what liberalism is all about. It is the idea that private belief, while it ought to be valued and respected, is fundamentally different from public duty.”

(Justin Trudeau thinks private belief is different from public duty. Do we really want to put our trust in someone to be Prime Minister of Canada when he can so easily park his conscience at the door?

Justin Trudeau and the truckers

From the Documentary: Trucking for Freedom (Part 1)

"For thirty-three days, the world watched. Crossing ten provinces and three territories; thousands of trucks traversed the highways and by-ways of Canada’s northern climes in this exclusive documentary offering an immersive look into an extraordinary moment in Canadian history. The Chronicle Brothers imbedded themselves within the Canadian Trucker Convoy capturing the unifying pulse of everyday people.

The directors blend interviews and live footage, journaling unbiased truths intrinsically viewed through a camera lens. They expose the raw emotion and purpose of those who felt compelled to embark on a journey fraught with both joy and sorrow.

The film lays bare a deep and broadening divide within a country known for unity and trust, and how two years of lockdowns illuminated the disparity in the working class and the political landscape. It gives a raw and unpolished visual of diverse Canadians holding a gutted Canadian Charter up to a spotlight and hoping to be heard."

I have puzzled for a long time now about the motives of our Prime Minister for the things he says and does. This never puzzled me as much as the recent trucker convoy to Ottawa did.

Justin Trudeau treated the truckers and what they stood for--freedom--with total disdain. He refused to meet with them or even to listen to them. He called them "anti-vaxxer mobs" launching "racist, misogynistic attacks."

The only other group Trudeau has treated with such contempt is pro-life Canadians.

So why did Trudeau show such dislike for the truckers? I think I figured it out. He was very angry with them that was clear from the start. But I think in the final analysis, Justin Trudeau was jealous of them. He was jealous that they rallied an entire country around them. Something Justin Trudeau doesn't know how to do.

I wasn't in Ottawa for the time the truckers were here, but I happened to see the beginning of the convoy when we traveled the Ottawa Queensway from Kanata to downtown Ottawa on Jan 29. The right hand lane was filled with trucks. I expected the 18 wheelers, but was totally unprepared for the smaller trucks of all descriptions, and many many cars, all united by a common cause. There were so many Canadian flags, miles of them. I saw people at every overpass cheering them on. I had never seen such an outpouring of love for anything in my life before this. I could tell people were happy. They were excited. They stood behind something important: our freedom. I knew something electric was taking place.

Over the 33 days of the protest, I spoke to people who were downtown to see for themselves what was happening there. They all remarked on the joy and love that was filling the bitter cold days so common in Ottawa. I saw reams and reams of footage of what was taking place. I saw people of different ethnic groups, of different ages, from the west and from the east. I saw Quebec flags and Canadian flags; Albertans and Francophones united together.

Justin Trudeau is divisive. He only supports those with whom he agrees. He spreads disinformation about those he doesn't like or doesn't agree with. We pro-life Canadians are only too familiar with his tactics. And now the truckers have felt it as well.

The truckers did what Justin Trudeau could not. They united a country. And for this they paid a heavy price.

Watch part one of the documentary. It is great.

Justin Trudeau and pro-life Canadians

With Trudeau’s election, things are about to get very personal for pro-life Canadians

By Jonathon van Maren

The columns dissecting Prime Minister-Designate Justin Trudeau’s landslide victory last Monday are already coming in fast and furious. I’ve even written one or two myself. But for the pro-life movement, Trudeau’s victory demands some introspection on what we can do moving forward. I think four things are essential to consider.

1. Politics and law are downstream from culture. Sewage flows downhill. The work of actually engaging people in conversations, going door-to-door, changing their minds—that is the only way we will ensure that pro-life principles become entrenched in our country. We really have no right to be shocked when Canada’s Supreme Court tosses out our euthanasia laws when there has been no concerted effort at the grassroots level to stem the tide of public opinion flowing in that direction for years. We are not going to affect any real change on the abortion issue from inside offices or churches, and we are not going to transform public opinion by spending all of our time talking to other pro-life people. To change public policy, you need to change public opinion, and to change public opinion, you have to actually engage with the public. Whether or not your pro-life work is a success is directly correlated to how many people you manage to persuade to become pro-life. Our standards for “pro-life work” are often far too low.

2. Most people don’t vote on the abortion issue, and that’s one reason Justin Trudeau won so big Monday night. Areas of the country that polling data tell us have strong anti-abortion sentiment were still swept up in the crimson tide—there’s a metaphor in there somewhere—in spite of the fact that Justin Trudeau is the most pro-abortion politician to ever be elected to high office. Pro-lifers are often fond of saying that over 60% of Canadians want an abortion law. That’s not quite true. If 60% of Canadians actually wanted something, you can be assured that they would get it. It’s the same with sex-selection abortion, which over 90% of Canadians profess to oppose—but when Stephen Harper shut down the debate around that issue in the House of Commons, there was nary a whisper from Canadians. Just because they agree in some languid, lackadaisical fashion that perhaps, at some point, we should stop dismembering full-term babies, doesn’t mean they actually care—and certainly doesn’t mean they’ll actually take that belief into the polling booth with them on Election Day. In order for these issues to actually impact our politicians, the voter intensity on abortion needs to be radically changed.

3. To create a new pro-life consensus, we have to look outside of our own communities. Bluntly put, there aren’t enough orthodox Catholics and Protestants in the country to form a big enough voting bloc on the issue. However, Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, and even Buddhists are very kindly disposed to the pro-life position. These are the people protesting Premier Kathleen Wynne’s radical sex education and these are the people who respond most positively to pro-life outreach. And on Monday, they turned out in droves for Justin Trudeau’s Liberals. In order to create a voting bloc that is resolutely pro-life, we will need to do much work with those whose own cultural and religious values are hostile to abortion as well as other social policies that Trudeau and his ilk hold dear. We may not agree on everything, but as Francis Schaeffer liked to say, we are still co-belligerents.

4. The Christian community will now actually have to step up and get involved, because things are about to get very personal. One of the reasons Christians so successfully ignore issues like abortion is that they assume that for the most part, it won’t have much impact on them personally. With the legalization of euthanasia coming and an already-strained healthcare system facing an aging population, life will now be threatened at both ends of the spectrum. Many Christians—I heard this dozens of times—insisted that Stephen Harper was “secretly pro-life,” as if there is any such thing. I suspect more Christians, for the sake of convenience, believed the Liberal “hidden agenda” babble than did Liberals themselves. With Trudeau the Younger firmly entrenched in power for at least the next four years, Christians are going to have to abandon the complacency that helped this happen and fight for their country. We need less poodles and more pit bulls.

For almost ten years, many Christians and pro-lifers comforted themselves with the fact that at least, things wouldn’t get worse. Now, they very much can. If Trudeau has his way, they very much will. It is up to the pro-life movement and to the churches to serve as the conscience of the nation, and maintain a relentless opposition to Trudeau’s policies. It will be hard work, but this time, no one can be absent without leave.

Justin Trudeau - Human rights are for all humans

Justin Trudeau:
“As people know … I never shy away from bringing up human rights wherever I go, I highlight our values and the challenges we face  and underline the importance of respecting human rights wherever I am, including in Cuba last week."
Without getting into the Prime Minister's stupid comments regarding the death of Fidel Castro, Justin Trudeau clearly does not respect Canadian human rights: Justin Trudeau does not respect the human rights of pre-born children; Justin Trudeau does not respect the human rights of pro-life Canadian citizens who also want to be in the Liberal party but are forbidden to become MPs because of those beliefs.

That's a large segment of Canadian society whose human rights Justin Trudeau does not respect, myself included.

Not respecting the human rights of human beings, but believing that you do, is the worst kind of discrimination. It's also arrogant and hypocritical.

Holding Justin Trudeau to account on the fallacy of a Charter Right to abortion

Below I post (with permission) Theresa Winchester's recent correspondence with Justin Trudeau. She received a reply from his office, then she replies again.

It's hard to believe that the Prime Minister of Canada doesn't know that there is no charter right to abortion. It's also good to know that people will challenge Justin Trudeau on this lack of knowledge.

I think it is very important that others write Justin Trudeau about this subject. The chances of you getting a sincere and honest reply are nil. But it is still important to do make our views known. Trudeau is our Prime Minister. He is accountable to us. Even though he acts like he isn't.
http://publications.gc.ca/collections/Collection/CH37-4-3-2002E.pdf
Mr. Trudeau, I am re-sending this information because you perhaps didn't receive the hard copy letter and printed copy of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms previously sent.  The staff member who has been erroneously advising you may have scooped it up without sending it onward to you?
Sincerely, I have your own best interests at heart.  Each and every time I hear you talk about Charter rights to abortion, you are really really putting yourself in an embarrassing position that won't bode well for your place in Canadian history.  The sooner you cease making incorrect statements [like those recorded in the attached facebook video below], the less frequent you will look foolish and ill-informed.  Your children will one day be truly aghast that their father continuously spoke very sincerely about a right that does not exist in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.  This will be particularly so in their case since it was their grandfather, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, who won a place in history by the creation of this seminal document. https://www.facebook.com/RightNowHQ/videos/537095176740840/
Just in case it is I who is ill-informed or has lost her ability to read fairly simple and straightforward English words, please let me know by return email if you can find frequently touted right to abortion in the Charter, attached in PDF form, either explicitly stated or by implication.  I have searched it manually more than once; I have also used those three little dots in the top right of the document to do an electronic search.  I still can't find it; indeed, I can't find a right to any medical treatments using either method.
You would be doing me and many many of my friends, family and acquaintances a huge favour if you could point out to me exactly where you are reading that entitlement.  Because, you see, we are calling you a simpleton and worse for putting words into the Charter that are not there.
Yours sincerely,
Theresa Winchester

Dear Ms. Winchester:
On behalf of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, I would like to acknowledge receipt of your correspondence regarding abortion.
Please be assured that your comments have been carefully reviewed. As you may know, the abortion provisions of the Criminal Code fall within the purview of the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. I have therefore taken the liberty of forwarding a copy of your email to Minister Wilson-Raybould, for her information and consideration.
Thank you for taking the time to write.
Theresa's subsequent response:
Further to your email, please advise further rationale for sending my correspondence to the Minister of Justice.  I am aware that abortion, if it were an illegal activity, would fall under the Criminal Code of Canada but there was no mention of abortion as a legal or illegal activity in Canada in my email.  My stated concern is that the Prime Minister of Canada, by word and deed, seems to be unaware that the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms does not include a right to an abortion.  This is the concern that warrants a response from the PMO.
Honestly, your email sounds very much like a "don't you worry your pretty little head about this" response.  There are times when it would appear that elected officials and their staff believe that Canadians are just not very bright and won't understand when they are being patronized or treated as though they are stupid.  This is one of those time.
Sincerely,
Theresa Winchester

When a Charter right isn't a Charter right

There are currently four Charter challenges being brought against the federal government regarding the Summer Jobs Program's unconstitutional attestation clause. Most likely there will be more coming.

This is all really good news for the people of Canada, and especially for those of us (all of us?) who value our Charter rights.

The media, even those from the left, see the massive problem with the Trudeau attestation. In fact the only people in Canada who think the attestation is fair--are Justin Trudeau and maybe some of his MPs, but most likely not all of them.

All this because our feminist prime minister decided to invent a new Charter right: "reproductive rights". Also known as the Right to Abortion. Justin Trudeau also likes to use the new buzz words "Charter values". Another meaningless notion.

Except instead of doing anything constitutional to create this new "right", he simply dreamed it into existence.

And now companies who have been denied funds under the SJP have to defend their actual Charter rights--all in the name of a non-existing Charter right.

In other words, under a Justin Trudeau government, actual Charter rights can only become actual Charter rights once you go to court, spend a whole lot of money, and spend a whole lot of time to put forward your case. A case that any grade school child could easily comprehend if you put it to them like this:
"I have a right to my religious beliefs. I have a right to not agree with abortion because I think it's morally wrong. I have a right to listen to my conscience. So why do I need to go to court to ask a judge to grant me these rights? I thought they were already mine? The Charter says I have them, so why can't I have them without going to court?
Is a Prime Minister really allowed to create a new right, just because he wants to? I don't understand this."
And there is another important fact about all this.

Can you imagine the millions of dollars the tax payer will have to fork out so that Justin Trudeau can defend his make believe Right to Abortion? After all, these are his "charter values" not ours. So why will we have to pay for Justin Trudeau to defend himself?

Infant of Prague - we pray for Justin Trudeau

While buying my Christmas stamps today--and I mean by that stamps that actually have a Christmas picture on them and not some red cup like Starbucks is doing this year--I met a lovely 81 year old Lebanese lady by the name of Alba.

She wanted to send a picture to Justin Trudeau. Her picture was neither packaged nor did she have the address of the House of Commons. Stephen the Canada Post clerk was trying to help her, but was slightly frustrated with her when I happened upon the scene.

I offered to him, that if he just wrote the House of Commons on the package (which he also had to provide, and graciously did so), and that if he had access to the internet, I was sure he could find the postal code. He did, and he even packaged it all up for Alba and wrote the requested address out for her.

Her picture also included a hand written note to Trudeau.

Alba was happy to talk to me about her gift to Trudeau. In her very broken English she told me that the picture was a photograph of an embroidery she had done when she was 23 (she couldn't remember what the name of the picture was, but my sister informed me that it was the Infant of Prague.)
"The devotion to the Holy Child Jesus has long been a tradition of the Catholic Church for a very long time. This devotion is a veneration of our Lord's sacred Infancy. Many saints had a very strong devotion to the Divine Child, notably St. Therese of the Child Jesus, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, and St. Teresa of Avila.
Prague is the capitol city of the Czech Republic, which is at the very central of Europe with Germany, Poland, Russia and Austria as its neighbours. The history of the Infant Jesus of Prague started in the 17th century when a statue of the Infant Jesus was brought into Bohemia (now Czech Republic) and eventually was given to the Discalced Carmelites in Prague. Since then, the statue has remained in Prague and has drawn many devotees worldwide to go and honor the Holy Child. Many graces, blessings, favors and miraculous healings have been received by many who petitioned before the Infant Jesus."
Alba told me that the legend associated with the picture, was the more you gave Jesus, the more he would give you in return. From the link above for Catholic Culture:
"As the devotion to the Infant Jesus spreads throughout the world, many parishes now offer Holy Mass and novenas to honor the Holy Child of God and many prayer groups have been formed. Jesus has kept His promise that the more that He is honored, the more that He will bless them. This is truly evidenced by the many favors He has granted to those who ask Him."
She also had pictures of the original photograph that she used to create the embroidery (see picture below). And she told me when she first saw the picture it reminded her of her sister who died at the age of two. That is why she felt compelled to embroider it back when she was 23. Now she wanted to share this very personal memory with Justin Trudeau.

Considering Justin Trudeau's pro-abortion edict against pro-life persons, I think this gift is very fitting. I just hope Trudeau has the good sense to put it on his desk.

Justin Trudeau's feminist approach is not Canada's

Remember that 650 million Canada will be spending for abortion in Africa? Well here's something that we've grown to expect of Justin Trudeau's government: it's the arrogance in the way he thinks he speaks for all Canadians. Which he doesn't.

I did an ATIP to Global Affairs Canada looking for information on this funding which, by the way, comes from Canadian taxpayers and not the government. In the backgrounder on this abortion funding, under "Key messages" that was sent out to stakeholders it says:
"Canada is a firm supporter of a feminist approach, which includes a commitment to gender equality, the empowerment of women and girls, and the protection of their human rights."
And this:
"Minister Bibeau's mandate letter has been clear from the beginning. As part of Canada's feminist approach, we are committed to supporting access to the full range of sexual and reproductive health service and information. that includes access to contraception, family planning, comprehensive education as well as women's right [to] choose safe abortion, where legal, and access to post-abortion care." Emphasis added.
This "feminist approach" really just means Justin Trudeau and Minister Bibeau's abortion approach. Canada is made up of people. 36,591,241 people to be exact. And according to a recent Ipsos poll:
"One in Four (24%) [Canadians] Want Some Limits on Abortion, While 12% Say It Should Not Be Permitted [and]...A further one in ten Canadians (11%) aren’t sure [where they stand on abortion]"
That's almost half the country who are most likely not a firm supporter of a feminist approach. When I think of "Canada" I don't think of Justin Trudeau and his partisan politicians. I think of Canada's people. Trudeau et al are not "Canada". They do not speak for me. And they don't speak for millions like me. To presume that they do, is the height of arrogance.

The ATIP also included a "tracking chart (donor commitments and media attention)." There were 28 outside sources listed. Of those sources there was only one pro-life  source identified: Life Site News. Talk about stacking the deck.

Did Trudeau and Bibeau bother to consult with pro-life organizations? I know--a foolish question.

I have some additional information to wade through and will report later if I find anything.

Can Justin Trudeau really be a Catholic?

So which church does Justin Trudeau worship at? Is it the Catholic Church? Or is it the church where people worship is at the altar of abortion?

Because Justin Trudeau thinks he's a Catholic. Back in 2012 he was upset and was:
"offended by a Tory MP who publicly questioned his adherence to the Catholic faith and his suitability to speak to students at a Catholic school."
when Dean Del Mastro, said that it was “outrageous” the Catholic school board in Peterborough, Ont. had invited Trudeau to speak.

How can Trudeau profess to be a Catholic when he expects his MPs to park their pro-life views at home, and even worse, to insist his MPs publicly state that they follow the Liberal "pro-choice" philosophy?

It is outrageous.
The elder Trudeau's Catholicism has been well documented in biographies, including one book specifically on his faith. The former prime minister was educated by the Jesuits and admitted to going regularly to church up until the last years of his life.
“I have to say, I'm really surprisingly upset. I didn't think I would be, but I am,” Mr. Trudeau told The Canadian Press on Tuesday evening.
“For someone to start questioning my own faith and accusing me of being a bad Catholic, is something that I really take issue with. My own personal faith is an extremely important part of who I am and the values that I try to lead with.”
Well Mr. Trudeau, you can't be a good Catholic and also be "pro-choice". It simply doesn't work that way. So make up your mind.

Are you Catholic, or do you worship at that other altar?

Trudeau needs to prove his new found humility

Apparently Justin Trudeau is newly "humbled".
"A freshly-chastened Justin Trudeau seems to have absorbed this advice in his meetings with opposition leaders this week, acknowledging he may be able to find “common ground” with politicians he only recently assured Canadians were depriving villages somewhere of their idiots."
Okay. I'm willing to give Trudeau the benefit of the doubt. Let's say for argument's sake, that Trudeau has actually learned a lesson about playing nicely with all those people he normally shuts out of his sandbox. Like Catholics. Like pro-life people. Because up until now, every Catholic/evangelical pro-life person in Canada has been chopped liver. Up until now we know that Trudeau does not work for all Canadians. He has always excluded Catholics and pro-life people from his so-called inclusiveness. Like when he shut us out from the tax payer funded Canadian Summer Jobs Program. Like when he prevented pro-life people from holding a seat in the Liberal party.

He's never replied to any of my letters asking him why he excludes us. Including the one I sent back in 2014 that contained 416 signatures. Even after I resent the letter to him multiple times. By email. By snail mail. Rather rude I'd say don't you think? Not too humble I'd say don't you think? The word arrogant comes to mind.

So is Trudeau really humbled? If he truly is, then he should tell us that he is he's sorry for treating us as second class citizens. That he's willing to change his tune on the Canadian Summer Jobs Program and allow us to finally qualify for grant money, that by the way, is paid for by all Canadians. Even us. Because as tax paying Canadians, we are forced against our beliefs, to pay for abortions and to pay for his billions in "reproductive choice" donations to national and international organizations. The least he can do is give us equal opportunities for funds to save babies and not kill them. Fair is fair.

We will forgive you Justin Trudeau. But first you must admit you were wrong. You need to prove to us that you are really humbled. And that you're not just faking it.

Justin Trudeau - like father like son

Thomas Mulcair and I agree on something. Justin Trudeau is pathetic.  From David Aikin:
"0:33 – We are now 33 seconds into this drama and it is at this point the prime minister makes his move. His seat is on our left as we look at this view, on the right of the Speaker. Trudeau gets up from his seat and moves toward this group of NDP MPs. Ramsay would later say that, at about this point, Trudeau tells these MPs to “Get the f*** out of the way.” Again: The voting procedure has been delayed by, to be charitable, less than a minute when the PM decides to take this action.
0:40 – Trudeau grabs Brown’s right elbow. As he turns Brown forward, he elbows NDP MP Ruth Ellen Brosseau. The tape clearly shows her in some anguish after she is struck
0:48 – Liberal MPs stand to applaud their leaders’ action, which has moved Brown to the front of the chamber. Brown does not look pleased and his gestures here are not the normal gestures in this ceremony.
1:06 – The camera angle returns to the back of the House where we can see this clump of NDP MPs still in place. You can see NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair talking to Brosseau. Brosseau exits the frame and, we are told, would exit the House.
1:14 – Trudeau — who has by now apparently realized he struck Brosseau — rises in his seat and moves back towards the NDP MPs to seek out Brosseau to, one assumes, apologize to her. Trudeau also moves out of frame, seeking the now-departed Brosseau.
1:22 – Trudeau comes back in the frame and you can clearly hear Mulcair telling Trudeau “You are pathetic!” several times." (emphasis added)
Trudeau Junior reminds me of  Trudeau Senior of fuddle duddle fame, only much worse. Not very attractive in a Prime Minister.

Justin Trudeau pick up the damn phone

It's a well known fact the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau doesn't care about unborn Canadian children. It's also a well known fact that he won't let the Liberal party have pro-life MPs.

Now we learn that there are four born children who he doesn't seem to care about either.

Here is Alison Azer's story:
"My ex-husband, Saren Azer, abducted our four Canadian-born children in August 2015 after taking them on what was to be a two-week holiday in Europe. I had tried to block the trip. But the Canadian courts overruled my mother's instincts and allowed the children to travel abroad with him. He never brought them home.
Within days of the abduction, Interpol issued a "wanted person" Red Notice for Saren and a "missing persons" Yellow Notice for my children. But they're not missing anymore. We know where they are. Saren has illegally taken them back to the country where he was born, Iran. The Canadian government knows this too.
In the early days of the abduction, I believed in the Canadian system. I believed that our police, our judiciary, our elected officials, wouldn't abandon Canada's youngest and most vulnerable. I was sure they'd take forceful action to locate my children and demand their return. How naive I was.
What I have learned from talking to others who have endured similar ordeals is that governments need to intervene at the highest level. Iran wants international legitimacy and to be taken seriously. Canada has great credibility. It's time to use it.
What Prime Minister Trudeau needs to do is to pick up the phone call President Hassan Rouhani.
Mr. Trudeau, you can bring my children home. Please get personally involved and use the power of your office to save the lives of Sharvahn, Rojevahn, Dersim and Meitan. And though it matters much less, in saving their lives, you will also save mine. Please make the call."
You can sign Alison's petition and her letter to Justin Trudeau at her site, asking Trudeau to bring her children home.

I wonder. Are there any Canadian children that Trudeau does care about? Pre-born or post-born, it doesn't seem to matter to Canada's feminist prime Minister.

But he sure likes selfies.

Justin Trudeau--a bad time to be a pre-born baby

The National Post editorial board--along with some former Liberal MPs--want Justin Trudeau to admit he made a mistake with his thou-shalt-be-pro-choice commandment.

Here is the full letter:
Dear Mr. Trudeau;
We, the undersigned, former Liberal Members of Parliament, are concerned about your recent pronouncement that people who hold a particular view on a given moral issue, as a matter of conscience, cannot be Liberal candidates for the position of M.P. unless they agree to park their consciences at the entrance to the House of Commons and vote directly opposite to their fundamental beliefs, as directed by you. We believe your undemocratic position will alienate many voters who have, in the past, voted Liberal. We ask that you rescind your decision, for at least the following reasons.
First, the firm position of all previous Liberal Leaders, including Pierre E. Trudeau, has been that, on moral issues, Liberal Members of Parliament were able to vote according to their respective consciences. This clear and consistent position served the Party well, as witnessed by the number of years the Liberal Party was the Government in the 20th century. For you to fully reverse this wise, long held position of all your predecessors, without any cogent reason, legal or otherwise, has the potential to alienate many former Liberal voters.
Second, since your edict singles out the issue of being opposed to abortion, but only that issue, it clearly discriminates against a select class of people, namely those who oppose abortion, and no one else, such as those who might oppose, or be in favour of, say, assisted suicide. We believe that such discrimination is a clear violation of the spirit, if not the letter, of The Charter of Rights and Freedoms, section 2 (a) which guarantees everyone, even Liberal Members of Parliament, “freedom of conscience“, and (b), which guarantees everyone, even Liberal Members of Parliament, “freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression”.
Third, your pronouncement deprives the members of local Liberal Riding Associations from nominating for election, anyone who is pro-life, and, by logical extension, anyone who has firm personal beliefs on any issue that differs from Party policy as imposed by you. This clearly negates your promise that Liberal nominations will be fair, open and democratic.
Finally, if your order is not rescinded, it will stand as a precedent for you, and future Liberal Leaders, to issue similar edicts on other moral issues, such as being either for or against assisted suicide, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning, animal/human genetic splicing/mixing and many such issues which we cannot even imagine today, but which may develop as our technological knowledge increases at an ever more rapid pace. After all, if the Leader can ban people from running for the Party because they are opposed to abortion, then why not because they advocate euthanasia, or agree with human cloning, or are opposed to either or both these concepts? Where does one draw the line?
As Liberal leader, we urge you to return to democratic principles and sensible Party tradition and rescind your ban on people who hold a particular moral belief, from running for the Party, unless they agree to do exactly as demanded by you. How can such a discriminatory policy serve the democratic ideals of our great nation?

Trudeau digs his hole deeper and deeper

Remember this letter I wrote to Justin Trudeau back in 2014?

That letter had more than 400 names on it.

Well yesterday a signatory of that letter asked me if Justin had ever replied to that latter. This is what she said:
"could you please tell me whether Justin Trudeau ever replied to the letter (with many, many signatures, including mine) expressing concern about his requiring his Liberal-party colleagues to vote pro-choice (i.e., abortion). I am curious because I used to write correspondence for Ministers and MPs and it was unheard of, back then, to ignore or not to answer a letter."
Not only did I send Mr Trudeau many subsequent emails reminding him that I was waiting for a reply, but I also sent the letter via snail mail. I guess Trudeau thinks he's a cut above regular MPs, and he doesn't need to follow the same etiquette as other MPs do, because Trudeau never replied to that letter.

Now Trudeau is getting push back on his Federal Job Program which he's disallowed us from using. And he's claiming his standard nonsense that there is a charter right to abortion, aided and abetted by the pro-abortions and their leader, extremist Joyce Arthur.

Arthur also likes to say that there is a Charter right to abortion. Of course they're both wrong but that doesn't stop them from saying it. Over and over again. I guess they think we're stupid.

Even the Americans think Trudeau's anti-pro-life actions are reprehensible.

Justin Trudeau and abortion and Fatima

Cardinal Collins is now speaking out to Justin Trudeau about his "sexual and reproductive health" $650 million funding going to poor countries:
"I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment at your government's decision to provide $650 million to support "sexual and reproductive health programs" globally. While it is commendable and necessary to foster initiatives that further the rights of women and young girls worldwide, your public comments suggest that unless a woman has access to abortion or contraception, she is not empowered or able to realize her full potential.
I simply remind you and your colleagues that we have no rights at all unless we are afforded the right to life. That decision was made for you and for each one of us by a woman, determined and committed to bring a new life into this world."
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops have already spoken to the Prime Minister.

Trudeau calls himself a Catholic, and even likes to tell us he was raised as a strict Catholic:
"I had an extraordinary example in a father who had deeply, deeply held personal views that were informed by the fact that he went to church every Sunday, read the Bible regularly to us, and raised us very religiously, as Catholics," Trudeau wrote.
Since Trudeau is a Catholic, he knows the story of Our Lady of Fatima.

I already knew the story of Fatima of course (all Catholic children do) but am now reading a book on Fatima. It is quite the eye opener to read the whole story from beginning to end.

(Here is an online version of a similar book to the one I'm reading, by the same author Father by John de Marchi, I.M.C. THE TRUE STORY OF FATIMA )

In a nutshell, our Lady appeared to three peasant children in Fatima Portugal, Jacinta, Lucia and Francisco in 1917. She appeared to them on the 13th of each month for six months, beginning in May 1917 and ending in October 1917, when a miracle she promised took place, the Miracle of the Sun. Our Lady spoke about the need for repentance and for prayer. She also spoke of Hell. Our Lady also showed the children what Hell looked like.

This year is the 100th anniversary of these apparitions.

There are a lot of evils in this world including abortion and euthanasia.

I can't think of anything worse than having legal abortion and legal euthanasia in one's own country, except perhaps exporting and paying for thousands and thousands of abortions in other countries.

Heads up to Justin Trudeau: you may want to brush up on the Fatima story. Or you may prefer not to believe the story. Your choice really.

All Canadians deserve to be respected

Dear Justin Trudeau,

I have a question for you Mr. Prime Minister and it is a sincere question that I would really like an answer to. I am concerned about the divisiveness of many of your policies towards many Canadians. Are you aware of how your policies affect the people you govern?

I first started to notice this nine years ago, before you even became Prime Minister. I wrote to you about your policy to exclude pro-life people from belonging to the Liberal party. https://run-with-life.blogspot.com/2014/10/open-letter-to-justin-trudeau-honouring.html. I was curious then, and still am, as to why you never responded to my letter? If I had supported this policy, would you have answered me?

As the years passed, it seemed to me that there were many Canadians whose values you didn't share. It felt like you wanted to punish them by enacting policies that disrespected and marginalized these people you didn't agree with, or that didn't agree with you.

You seem to have taken a particular dislike to pro-life people, and this continued when you denied them government funding for the Summer Jobs Program. And more recently, by threatening to remove the charitable status from pro-life organizations. You said that there were groups like pregnancy care centres who provide women with dishonest counseling. But you could never provide any evidence that this happens. Yet you gave out, and continue to give out, millions to the people who support and celebrate abortion.

Then there was the pandemic. If people chose not to get the shot, you called them names. You closed the churches but kept the abortion clinics open. People were really hurt by your policies; people went bankrupt; people lost their jobs; families were separated; mental health issues soared; people couldn't get medical treatment. You fired public servants who refused to get vaccinated. You wanted people to do what you wanted them to do. If they didn't, you called them names and punished them.

Currently, parents who are concerned about gender ideology being forced on them and their children, are called "far-right". There are millions of Canadians who do not agree with this ideology, yet we are forced to look at pride flags everywhere, for not just one day; not just one month; but now for an entire season. This makes no sense. While all Canadians deserve respect, why are we now being forced to "celebrate" an ideology that is against our sincerely held values and beliefs? Catholics and Muslims, and others, do not share this ideology. But it is being forced upon us everywhere we turn. I do not ask you to celebrate my Catholicism or my being pro-life. But you insist on me "celebrating" pride in all of its forms.

It seems you want all Canadians to agree with you on everything. But we don't. And we should not be forced to. We are also Canadians Prime Minister, and we deserve to be respected and treated with dignity.

I hope you will watch this video of Jordan Peterson's interview with Tamara Lich. https://open.spotify.com/episode/2wegzK35Z94Ls60uBBkNQr

Tamara is a Canadian hero. She headed a movement that brought all Canadians together. The trucker convoy was not divisive. People from coast to coast to coast supported it; of all ethnicities; of all faith backgrounds; from all walks of life; they came together and asked that you listen to them. Tamara said of the movement: "People were proud to be Canadian again." But you would not meet them. You would not listen to them. Instead you called them names, invoked the emergency act and froze their bank accounts. You wouldn't even talk to them. I heard you went to the Laurentians to ski when the emergency act was invoked, while Canadians were fighting for their livelihoods, yet you refused to listen to their concerns. You called people 'racist,' 'misogynistic,' and the unvaccinated were a “small fringe minority” with “unacceptable views.” The truckers kept Canada running during the pandemic. Yet you had no time for them, or their concerns.

Canadians have different values and different beliefs. I will respect your beliefs, but please respect mine, and please respect the beliefs of all the Canadians whose beliefs and values are different from yours. Please stop calling us names. Please stop penalizing us. Please stop marginalizing us. Please stop punishing us. Please respect us.

I ask you, I beg you, please stop being divisive.

Sincerely,

Patricia Maloney

Good news, maybe?

This is a first. Justin Trudeau responded to a letter of mine.

I have written to Justin Trudeau many times before. Many, many times. He has never responded to anything I've written to him. Never, nada, zilch, zero times. Not in this century. But now he has.

Now I know it doesn't actually respond to my concerns about pro-abortion groups misinforming women about abortion. But it's a start, right?

"These requirements apply equally to registered charities that provide reproductive health services to Canadians."

Well I think this is good news?

To: maloneyp64@gmail.com <maloneyp64@gmail.com>

Dear Ms. Maloney:

Thank you for your correspondence of January 13, 2023, which was referred by the Office of the Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, regarding the services provided by crisis pregnancy centres and the charitable status of these organizations.

Canadian tax incentives for charitable donations are considered to be amongst the most generous in the world.  In 2020, Canadians claimed $11 billion in donations to registered charities and qualified donees, resulting in $3.1 billion in federal tax relief for individuals under the Charitable Donation Tax Credit.  Additionally, corporations deducted $3.1 billion in donations, receiving approximately $710 million in federal tax assistance under the charitable donation tax deduction.

Given this generosity and other tax privileges provided to charities, organizations that choose to register as charities are required to follow a particular set of rules set out in the Income Tax Act.  These rules are primarily designed to ensure that donated funds are used for charitable purposes, protecting public trust in the charitable sector as a whole.

All registered charities are required to ensure that the information that they provide is accurate and evidence-based, and are prohibited from disseminating information that is false or misleading.  These requirements apply equally to registered charities that provide reproductive health services to Canadians.

The Canada Revenue Agency is responsible for ensuring that only organizations that meet the requirements are registered as charities, and does so while respecting Canadians' right to freedom of expression and freedom of conscience and religion under the Charter.

Department of Finance Canada officials are continually reviewing tax matters to ensure that the existing system is as fair and as current as possible.  In this regard, your comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you for writing.

Sincerely,

Consultations and Communications Branch
