Two sides of the MAID issue - CCCB - DWDC: 140th and 141st time lobbying government

On the one hand, we have Fr. Francis at Mass today speaking out against MAID. (I will paraphrase): St. Thomas More who is the patron saint of statesmen, politicians, lawyers, and civil servants -- we must pray against MAID / euthanasia. We belong to one fold and have to be proactive and consider what's happening in the government concerning MAID. There is a growing number of deaths and mercy killings. We must be aware of and pray for protection from birth until natural death.

Fr. Francis also included the Statement from the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) in his Sunday bulletin on MAID (I hope all parishes did the same): STATEMENT BY THE STANDING COMMITTEE FOR FAMILY AND LIFE TO THE CATHOLIC FAITHFUL IN CANADA AND ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL VOICING CONCERN AND CALLING FOR PRAYERS ON THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF EUTHANASIA AND ASSISTED SUICIDE (“MAID”)

As disciples of Christ, we affirm that every human life is a gift, holds profound dignity and value, and is part of a human community (cf. Mt 25:31-46). In contrast, euthanasia and assisted suicide, whatever their motives or means, consist in intentionally causing or hastening the death of a person who is sick, suffering, disabled, or dying in order to eliminate suffering. Such acts can never be morally acceptable, for they are gravely contrary to the dignity of the human person and to the respect due to God, the Creator and Lord of life.4F 5 True compassion does not answer suffering with death, but accompanies those who suffer with hope, presence, palliative care, and relief of pain. Together with healthcare professionals, patients, and families, our faith teaches that we must strive for proportionate treatment options that neither unduly prolong nor intentionally hasten death, but instead offer life-affirming and compassionate care.

On the other hand, we have Dying with Dignity Canada's death cult lobbying government, yet again, to increase access to MAID. This is their 140th and 141st time lobbying government.

Instead of paying off the debt Canada invests in Pride Season

Recall how the Carney Liberals are continuing their discrimination policy against pro-life students who are not eligible to receive the Canada Summer Jobs Program. These grants are around $5,000 each. A drop in the bucket of government largesse, yet still will not ever go to a pro-life student.

Fast forward to Pride Season. Yes Virginia, Canada has a Pride Season--the only country in the world to not just celebrate Pride, but to have a whole season dedicated to it. And it's not just Pride Season, it's turning on the taps of millions and millions of dollars in new spending towards all things Pride, never mind old spending. 

Never mind that Canada's debt is now almost 3 trillion dollars (Looks like this ($3,000,000,000,000) and a current deficit of $66.9 billion.

Federal government strengthens support to keep 2SLGBTQI+ communities safe this Pride Season

Through ongoing investments in the 2SLGBTQI+ sector, including $54.6 million over five years, with $10.9 million ongoing, the federal government is supporting organizations to strengthen communities and expand participation in Canada’s economy and society. This includes $7.5 million over five years, with $1.5 million ongoing, to help Pride festivals address rising security and insurance costs and continue providing safe and welcoming spaces for participants, volunteers, families, and visitors.
