Pro-life - We will not be cowed into submission

Dear Jim Watson,

I was very disappointed regarding your decision yesterday to lower the pro-life flag over city hall yesterday.

As pro-life people supporting the rights of preborn human beings, we are continually marginalized and discriminated against. This was just one more example of this kind of sanctioned behaviour.

The flag was a small symbol of what we stand for, and you bent to pressure to remove it, after allowing it to be raised. It's bad enough that Mr. Trudeau has banned pro-life people from his party; now you feel you must "apologize" for allowing us to fly our flag.

Your efforts would have been far better used in controlling the aggressive masked counter protesters, who blocked our way during our city approved March for Life. In fact can you please explain to me why these counter protesters were allowed to block us and not reigned in?

I am so disappointed in this council for these actions, especially you and my own city councillor Tobi Nussbaum.

And please do not tell me that women have a constitutional right to abortion. This is an untruth that has been spread so often that some people still believe it is true.

We speak for preborn children who have no voice and have no protection as long as they are in the womb. These children are not a part of a woman's body and for those who say otherwise are wrong.

Sincerely,
Patricia Maloney

Justin Trudeau - Human rights are for all humans

Justin Trudeau:
“As people know … I never shy away from bringing up human rights wherever I go, I highlight our values and the challenges we face  and underline the importance of respecting human rights wherever I am, including in Cuba last week."
Without getting into the Prime Minister's stupid comments regarding the death of Fidel Castro, Justin Trudeau clearly does not respect Canadian human rights: Justin Trudeau does not respect the human rights of pre-born children; Justin Trudeau does not respect the human rights of pro-life Canadian citizens who also want to be in the Liberal party but are forbidden to become MPs because of those beliefs.

That's a large segment of Canadian society whose human rights Justin Trudeau does not respect, myself included.

Not respecting the human rights of human beings, but believing that you do, is the worst kind of discrimination. It's also arrogant and hypocritical.

Ask your candidate what they think about abortion

From the people at www.weneedalaw.ca:

Does your candidate support:

Late term abortion?
Sex selective abortion?
Pre-born victims of crime?

Welcome to lifeTOUR, a cross-country tour spearheaded by WeNeedaLaw.ca with more than 20 events across the country. Do you want to make a difference for pre-born children in Canada? Together we can ensure pre-born human rights are discussed during the 2015 federal election, and work to bring an end to unregulated abortion in Canada.

So what is the goal of this tour? lifeTOUR seeks to ensure that Canada’s leaders cannot ignore the injustice that is being committed against 100,000 of our pre-born neighbours every single year.

We aim to provide everything that you need to feel equipped for engaging your candidate in this discussion. In addition to learning where the different political parties stand, this site will inform you with questions to ask the candidates, petitions to sign, and action items such as lawn signs, window decals and t-shirts to carry the message forward. Come out to an event in your area, engage your candidate through emails, phone calls, social media, or questions at all-candidates’ meetings, or all of the above!

Together we can make a difference for our pre-born neighbours!
WHERE WE'RE HEADED!
