Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights gets millions in funding from pro-abortion organizations

phi·lan·thro·py /fəˈlanTHrəpē/ noun the desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes.

Action Canada for Health and Reproductive Rights doesn't only get funding from the Canadian government (AKA you and me), they get money from lots of other places.

After researching this I was kind of dumbfounded about just how much money comes from pro-abortion/sexual reproductive rights/LGBTQ funding groups into organizations like Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights. This particular research is only focused on one such Canadian charity--Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights--and what they get. But I saw many organizations that donate millions and millions to the promotion and advocacy of the killing of pre-born children and so-called LGBTQ rights, etc. Is this really what philanthropy is all about? No wonder there are so many organizations involved in this work--there are millions and millions to be made. Action Canada is just one of the groups that benefits from this largesse of blood money.

Imagine the good that could be done if pro-life groups got similar funding?

Here is a breakdown of the dollars that went to Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights from 2015 to 2023. I don't have numbers yet for 2024.

Trudeau's legacy of over a $ billion spent on LGBT stuff

Now that Justin Trudeau is finally gone, it's time to tally up how many tax dollars he spent on his LBGT agenda. The answer is - $1,106,822,973.

Just a few examples below of these 1,228 different funding grants.

• Stratford Pride Community Centre - $166,505 - 2025 - Through this 15-month project, Stratford Pride Community Centre will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities. This will be accomplished through dialogue and education outreach, to address growing division between generational values, while fostering safety, acceptance, and joy for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community living in Stratford and Perth County. This will be achieved by 1) launching a multi-platform awareness campaign to foster empathy and to lay the foundation for community dialogue; 2) facilitating community engagements among diverse participants to identify community needs, while promoting dialogue and inclusion; 3) developing, piloting and conducting educational workshops and resources, aimed at promoting community diversity; and 4) disseminating tools, resources and results in the community and assessing project results.
• The Enchanté Network - $900,000 - 2024 - This 19-month project will establish the foundational pillars of Canada’s first national Black 2SLGBTQI+ organization through engagement, communication, and organizational development - all with a focus on systemic impact and organizational sustainability. The Enchanté Network will undertake key organizational development activities, co-develop a strategic plan and host two annual national black 2SLGBTQI+ summits.
• Chamber of  Commerce Canadian Gay & Lesbian - $489,409 - 2024 - CGLCC's 2SLGBTQI+ Market Readiness for Atlantic Canada's tourism industry
• Alinea International Ltd - $4,948,466 - 2022 - The SAIL-SRHR project aims to strengthen the realization of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and human rights for adolescent girls and members of vulnerable and stigmatized groups in targeted communities. Project activities include: (1) improving the delivery of rights-based sexual and reproductive health services, promoting gender equality, positive masculinity, and sexual and reproductive rights through improved, peer-led school education; (2) empowering adolescent girls and vulnerable and stigmatized populations to seek, advocate for, and access their sexual and reproductive rights and human rights; (3) target vulnerable and stigmatized populations, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) people and sex workers, health service providers, educators, parents, community leaders, and policymakers; and (4) reach through inclusive health services, peer-led sexual and reproductive health education, improved school-based health curriculum and instruction, social media campaigns, and research and advocacy skills.
• CANADIAN GAY & LESBIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE | CANADIAN GAY & LESBIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE - $486,965 - 2021 - This project proposal aims to support local & regional economic development, while positioning tourism destinations & businesses as welcoming & inclusive places to visit. This project aims to support local/regional tourism destinations & businesses successfully enter & grow the LGBTQ2+ travel market. The primary objectives are to increase the number, & develop a sustainable network, of tourism businesses & communities that have market ready products & services that meet the demands and expectations of the LGBTQ2+ traveler. Further, the project aims to Increase Southern Ontario’s profile as a premier tourism destination for the LGBTQ2+ travel market and to increase the number of LGBTQ2+ visitors & subsequent tourism receipts. Finally, the project aims to contribute to the increase of tourism jobs for unemployed/underemployed people within the sector. Projected outcomes of this project include: 300 people trained & certified in LGBTQ2+ Inclusion; 20 market information workshops delivered; 6 destination audits completed; and, 250 businesses accredited in inclusivity tourism as outlined above. The main activities of the project include: outreach & industry consultation to engage local/regional stakeholders; the delivery of destination audits & assessments to identify products & services offered by the destination and identify what is needed to further develop & grow the market; conduct LGBTQ2+ travel market seminars and diversity & inclusion workshops to increase education & capacity building of the tourism industry. Also, an activity of this project is to review & recognize (accreditation) of those businesses & destinations that have clearly demonstrated inclusive policies & practices & meet set industry standards as trained through this project. The activities in this project are expected to drive greater LGBTQ2 travelers to the region, resulting in greater support for LGBTQ2+ owned & allied businesses.
• Travel Gay Canada - $100,000 - 2017 - Fund activities that support growth in Canada's tourism sector by increasing LGBTQ2 international visitation to Canada.
• Drayton Theatres Inc. - $1,000,000 - 2022 - Retrofit of an industrial warehouse in Waterloo, ON to be converted into a Youth Academy that provides new cultural infrastructure for community building and arts-based learning for youth, particularly those identifying as BIPOC), LGBTQ2+, new Canadians, and Persons with Disabilities. 
• EGALE CANADA HUMAN RIGHTS TRUST | FONDS ÉGALE CANADA POUR LES DROITS DE LA PERSONNE - $149,990 - 2019 - The organization will deliver the first national gender diversity and inclusion training program for 24 legal clinics in eighteen cities across all provinces and territories. The goal of the training is to increase awareness and understanding among legal and paralegal professionals about LGBTQI2S issues as they intersect with the justice system. The project will culminate in a bilingual handbook on gender diversity and inclusion geared to legal and paralegal professionals.
• Pride Toronto - $1,000,000 - 2019 - The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding to support a project that will look at the ways in which the LGBTQ2+ community seeks to address community safety issues. In particular, they will aim to better understand the patterns of offending in the LGBTQ2+ community, address the institutional cultures within the criminal justice system and to improve the relationship between the criminal justice system and the LGBQT2+ community and seek ways to implement more effective educational and prevention tools in this community.

So - will Mark Carney continue the trend of dishing out money for all things LGBT? I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Trudeau spent $91 million in tax dollars to spread LGBT ideology to poor countries

Justin Trudeau has spent $91,504,036 to spread his gender ideology all over the world through Global Affairs Canada during his nine years as Prime Minister. This amount does not include LGBTQ funding he has done here at home in Canada, which would add up to many many millions more.

And just today, Trudeau announced more spending on his pet ideologies--on his very last day in office. 

"20 projects aimed at advancing gender equality and empowering women and girls, in all their diversity, representing a contribution of $193.45 million...also announced Canada’s intent to provide $10 million for Equality Fund’s upcoming First Response Fund. This fund will provide support to women-led and women’s rights organisations who are often best placed to provide timely humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable people affected by crises...Canada’s investments in signature initiatives, such as the Women's Voice and Leadership Program, the Equality Fund and the Alliance for Feminist Movements, have supported more than 3,000 women’s rights organization and networks in more than 30 countries and have influenced over 200 discriminatory policies and laws. Canada’s contributions have provided relevant, effective support for thousands of women and girls, 2SLGBTQI+ people and their communities."

Two steps forward one step backwards

There were two good news stories recently about potential abortion services closing (yea):

One of Canada’s largest non-profit sexual health organizations is at risk of closing dozens of its clinics due to funding constraints. Options for Sexual Health operates 52 clinics across B.C. Thirty are managed by the nonprofit, while the rest operate in partnership with other organizations.

A national group that helps people who have trouble accessing abortion services says it may be forced to shut down in several months after Health Canada declined to renew its funding for the upcoming year. 

Abortion Care Canada [formerly National Abortion Federation Canada] says it had sought $1.3 million from the federal government’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Fund for the next fiscal year but will get nothing, despite having received about $2.2 million in total since the fund was established in 2021.

 

(This is interesting. I just tried going to Abortion Care Canada https://nafcanada.org/ website and it looks like you have to have a user id to do so. What's up with that?)

Imagine that. Pro-abortion charities might have to  actually start fundraising instead of depending on government handouts. The horror.

But then we had this announcement from Women and Gender Equality Canada Strengthening 2SLGBTQI+ communities to advance equality in Canada (Boo)

Today, Lisa Hepfner, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth announced up to $41.5 million for 106 projects across four different 2SLGBTQI+ funds. This funding will advance equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities across Canada and address the rise in hate.

This announcement came January 31st in the middle of Canada's tariff crisis with the US. Maybe they thought nobody would notice. And that's $41.5 million over and above the gazillions we already spend on LGBT. 

Letter to my MP on supporting people not killing them

Dear Mona Fortier MP,

I was very troubled by a letter written in the National Post today regarding MAID. I am asking that you, as my representative in Parliament, bring my concerns to the Prime Minister regarding MAID.

Instead of killing people, we should be able to provide every single Canadian who wants palliative care, to receive it. Palliative care should be deemed an essential service, available to everyone.

We should be able to provide every single Canadian who needs to see a psychiatrist, the ability to see one. 

If there are people who cannot afford to live anymore because of disabilities (we've heard of many tragic cases like this) and so instead opt for MAID, we need to help them.

Canada spends billions of dollars every year on groups to promote abortion, LGBT and other progressive ideologies. Could we not divert some of those dollars to helping people get the care they need so they don't have to resort to MAID?

It is morally wrong to kill human beings. It is morally right to help them. It really is very simple.

The scandal of raking in tax dollars (part 3)

A lot of public funding goes to progressive groups. Perhaps that is why there are so many of these organizations in the first place--they know they can, and do, receive billions in government grants.

We've already seen the $1,550,884,070 given to Canada Summer Jobs recipients and “reproductive choice” advocates. Today I look at the LGBT / pride parade lobby, the other side of this favoured coin.

Keep in mind that pro-life groups get nothing from these political handouts. Pro-life groups are self funded and totally dependent on their donors for their very existence. In fact, I wonder how many of these progressive groups would even exist if it weren't for all this government funding they receive?

You might also remember that in 2014 Ottawa's Capital Pride went bankrupt, leaving many suppliers very unhappy, and very unpaid. Fast forward to 2017 and we learn that Capital Pride is now getting money from grants each year from the federal government. And they aren't the only pride parades/festivals to receive funding. I counted 22 of them. Below are the top four recipients, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Liar liar pants on fire

Have you ever been lied to? I mean really really lied to? I have. Probably all of us have. And maybe some of us even do the lying.

Last night I dreamed I was with some people who were really really nice. I had spent some time with these people and was forming a relationship with them. Then I found out they were lying to me. They were actually terrorists. And they killed my partner. And I was captured and they wanted me to become a terrorist too. Or die.

It got me thinking about the times I've been lied to. How it felt to be betrayed. It doesn't feel very good.

Then I started thinking about some politicians who lie to us. Every day. Of course we usually know that they are lying to us. You can feel it. It's a different kind of lying than when the people close to us lie.

Then there are the people who lie about abortion. Some directly. Some indirectly. By not telling the full truth. Lies of omission. But the result is the same. They are still lies. People believe the lies and then they start spreading those lies.

Then there is the Catholic church, the one I belong to. Where some bishops have been lying. To cover up evil behaviour. To cover up abusing children and others. Trusts are broken. People are seriously traumatized and harmed.

Some people also lie about the people who run and work at crisis pregnancy centres. They spread all kinds of lies about these places. The liars will say things like the people who work at crisis pregnancy centres are lying to their clients. That they discriminate against LGBT people. That they lie about the physical and psychological risks of abortion.

So many lies. So many destroyed lives.

Speaking of terrorists. And lying. This week Canada's premier pro-abortion organization ARCC called prolifers terrorists. I am not kidding.

I watched two videos recently when I was at a cottage with two of my sisters.

One was called Hush about abortion, the other Fatal Flaws about euthanasia.

These two videos expose many of the lies of the abortion industry and the euthanasia industry. Both are well worth watching.

The world would be a much better place if people just stopped lying. That's all it would take to make a huge difference.

Satan likes it when we lie. It's good to remind ourselves of this sometimes. Me? I go to God to get relief from the lies. Not sure how I could handle the lies otherwise. I guess I'm lucky. How about you?

How science will blow the abortion debate wide open

Michelle Hauser: Pro-life debates, with a sci-fi twist

"When it comes to debating the rights of the unborn, history may show our current quiet phase to have been the calm before the storm: the transition period when science, not ideology, became the driving force for a bill of rights for the fetus. 

One factor driving the change: advancements in neonatal medicine are pushing the envelope of fetal viability well beyond what anyone ever imagined. 

In May 2015, Time magazine responded to a study by the New England Journal of Medicine on premature infants by asking the question that’s on many people’s minds: “How low can preemies go?” The landmark study pointed to fetal viability at 22 weeks, versus the currently accepted 24 weeks. According to Time, this raised new ethical dilemmas about “how much care is too much — and how much is suddenly not enough” and, by extension, “how an even slightly lower age of viability affects the fraught debate over abortion.” 

In particular, the study calls into question the controversial practice of late-term abortions, performed after the 20th week of gestation. According to partial data from the Canadian Institute for Health Information, in 2014 there were 605 abortions performed at 21-plus weeks. In the decade to come, as saving the lives of premature infants in that grey zone of viability becomes commonplace, it will make the dividing line between the wanted and the unwanted so much more intolerable, especially for the many Canadians who self-identify as “reluctantly pro-choice.” 

Neonatology isn’t the only stream of medicine that will eventually force the government’s hand in establishing the rights of the unborn — fetal medicine is making equally course-altering strides. After a $54.5-million gift to its Women and Children’s Health Research Institute, the University of Alberta recently joined other hospitals and universities worldwide who will, in the decades to come, establish a new normal in fetal care, including life-saving surgeries and diagnostics that can be performed in utero as early as 13 weeks. 

These scientific leaps won’t just expand our notion of duty of care for the fetus, they will blow it wide open. 

Will a woman’s autonomy still be the deciding factor on issues of life and death?..."

After being in Toronto this past weekend where everything was Pride Pride Pride Pride...I thought this comment below about the article from a Del James Cornell University, was particularly timely:

"It would great to see strong, rational voices in the general population advocating for rights of the unborn with the same vigor we have seen people advocating for LGBT rights. Human rights are rights for all humans and science continually demonstrates that a fetus is a human being unto itself."

Canada gets it but Justin Trudeau doesn't

Ah, Justin Trudeau. He's so predictable. At yesterday's pride parade in Toronto he said:

“I’ve seen so many people from every corner of the world, literally,” Mr. Trudeau said, adding that he’d spoken with people from Australia, South Africa and Jamaica earlier in the day. “[Canada] is a place that actually gets it, that stands up for human rights around the world and welcomes people in.” (emphasis added)

Trudeau believes in human rights. For lesbian people. For gay people. For bisexual people. For transgender people.

But Trudeau doesn't believe in those same Canadian human rights for pre-born human beings. They are excluded from Trudeau's human rights list.

I wonder how many LGBT people are aborted every year in Canada? They'll never get to be a candidate for the Liberal party. Because they don't have human rights when in the womb.
