Why do we arrest peaceful protesters but not violent thugs?

I had heard about how Josh Alexander was treated and suspended by the Catholic Renfrew high school last year. As a Catholic myself I was embarrassed that this happened, especially when Josh was standing up for the young ladies in his school, which one would naturally expect him to be praised for. But no, the sad truth is that the woke mob has infiltrated our Catholic schools.

Fast forward to this fall when I now learn how the Toronto police treated Josh, his brother Nick and their friends during their peaceful protest in Toronto. Dr. Jordan Peterson did Canadians the great public service of interviewing these two fine young men, so that we could all learn the horrific details of what transpired during their attempt at practicing their Charter rights in Toronto.

During this peaceful protest on Sept. 22, Nick was attacked by an antifa thug wearing a bladed glove, who was with a bunch of other antifa masked thugs (30 masked thugs against five young men AND hiding their identity tells us a lot). The police driving by this, did nothing to protect these young men, even as they witnessed this violent behaviour by the antifa thugs. And there were no repercussions to the thugs. But Nick was arrested. Does this make any sense at all?

And NDP leader Jagmeet Singh marched with Antifa. He actually made a sign at the young men gesturing: "I'm watching you". Wow. 

There is a lot more that transpired that day, way too much bullying to go into detail here. So I hope you will take the time to listen to Dr. Peterson's interview to get all the details of this horrific treatment of young Canadian citizens who stand up for freedom of religion, freedom of conscience, freedom of assembly and freedom of speech.

Today's gospel reading was the story of the only time in the Bible when Jesus got angry in the Temple. I wonder how Jesus would react if he witnessed the treatment of Josh and Nick Alexander that day? I think it might have been the second time we would witness Jesus getting publicly angry.

Thank God that Canada still has brave and courageous men like Josh, Nick and Jordan. There is hope for us yet.

Because of Justin Trudeau Canada has lost its way

God bless Rex Murphy and Jordan Peterson. They are the two best Canadian leaders we never had. Their discussion below is a mind-blowingly accurate assessment of Canada's very sorry current state of affairs. 

And God bless the truckers too who stood up to Trudeau's tyranny.

Then there's NDP leader Jagmeet Singh. I've never understood how Justin Trudeau manages to stay in power. And now SIngh is an even a bigger mystery. The man is clearly Trudeau's lap-dog. So what is in it for Singh? Maybe some kind of narcissistic ego boost? 

Now Singh has confirmed that there really are two solitudes in Canada, and only one of them should have the emergency act used against them. And that would be the truckers:

"Indigenous land defenders, climate change activists, workers fighting for fairness. And any Canadian using their voice to peacefully demand justice – should never be subject to the Emergencies Act".

I thought today's Psalm for Mass was a much needed antidote to the Singh and Trudeau show.

31,717 clients chose to attend a CPC for help

"Every year across Canada, individuals voluntarily seek help at local pregnancy centres. The support they receive may include a range of services – free of charge and available to all.

Last year alone, 31,717 clients chose to attend one of our affiliated pregnancy care centres for help. Many of the clients cared for would be considered vulnerable, marginalized, and lacking support. Many were women who were unsure about their pregnancy decision, uncertain about their choice, and some felt pressured to have an unwanted abortion as that was the only choice available.

Pregnancy care centres exist to provide a safe environment for a woman to make a pregnancy decision that is fully informed, evidence-based, consistent with her belief system, and free from external influence. The staff and volunteers respect a woman’s right to make her own decision and seek to provide her with medically accurate information on all three options: abortion, adoption, and parenting.

After serving as the executive director of Pregnancy Care Canada for the past five years, I have seen the value of work being done each day. And as a medical doctor, I care that the information provided is medically accurate. Our national network of 80 affiliated centres continues to seek new ways and improved ways to serve women, men, and families, reaching out for help. Unfortunately, the good work done at local pregnancy care centres is at times mischaracterized. Perhaps starting a new conversation about the societal importance of pregnancy care centres would be helpful.

May we not overlook the value of local charitable organizations that compassionately care for the vulnerable in our midst – with integrity and great love. One might refer to this as charity at work."

Dear Mona Fortier, Justin Trudeau, Erin O'Toole, Jagmeet Singh and Maxime Bernier,

I hope you will read this fact sheet about the good, and very much needed, work that pregnancy care centres do. 

The women, men, and children who receive care from these centres would ultimately be the ones to suffer if their charitable status is removed.

A word of advice for Catholics for the 2019 election

A word of advice from Fr. Mark Goring to Catholics.

"Dear Catholics don't be stupid. If you vote for a political leader who allows harm to be done to the most innocent person, you are complicit in the death of the innocent person. You have blood on your hands. You might spend all of eternity in Hell because you did not obey God's clear commandment--Thou shalt not kill."

Is Jagmeet Singh pro-life or pro-choice?

By all accounts the NDP's new leader Jagmeet Singh is a practicing Sikh: here, here and here.

And Sikhism is pretty much against abortion except in a couple of circumstances:

"While Sikhism denounces abortion, allowance in circumstances such as when the life or health of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy, or when the fetus is known by competent medical authority to have serious defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth. In all other cases such as unfit parents, rape, failed contraceptive, social and economic factors abortion is wrong. Those who are unable to raise a child because of number of different reason; adoption is a wonderful alternative that should be considered."

Sikhism is also against female gendercide through abortion:

"Unfortunately abortion is portrayed as a quick and easy process, however the reality of the operation is not covered. Abortion is not a benign procedure. It is the violent and unnatural destruction of a living human being. It not only harms the baby but psychologically impacts the mother.

It is common in Indian culture, to prefer the birth of boys over girls. As a result of this, families put pressure on women to abort females in pursuit of having boys. This is a great epidemic in particularly amongst the Panjabi community in India, however it is also practiced by people living abroad who will sometimes go back to India to have a sex scan if they are refused one in UK."

So. How does Jagmeet Singh reconcile these Sikh values with the NDP party's being officially "pro-choice"?
