Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights freaks out over Canada's late-term abortion reality

On November 25, 2025 the pro-abortion Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights (who got all antsy pantsy with Right Now's recent expose on late-term abortion in Canada) lobbied ten MPs and government officials.

Notice they even lobbied a student. How pathetic is that?

Here is that list of those people who they lobbied:

  • Elizabeth Gichimu, Director of Operations, Office of MP Greaves | House of Commons
  • Eloise Kingdon, Student, Office of MP Greaves | House of Commons
  • Peggy Ainslie, Executive Director, SRH Fund | Health Canada (HC)
  • Francois Rivest, Manager of Partnerships and Projects | Health Canada (HC)
  • Carina Gabriele, Director of Policy | Women and Gender Equality (WAGE)
  • Anita Vandenbeld, Member of Parliament | House of Commons
  • Alexis Brunelle-Duceppe, Member of Parliament | House of Commons
  • Juanita Nathan, Member of Parliament | House of Commons
  • Marie-Gabrielle Menard , Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Women and Gender Equality and Secretary of State (Small Business and Tourism) (Parliamentary Secretary) | Women and Gender Equality (WAGE)
  • Mackenzy Metcalfe, Policy Advisor, Office of the Minister of Finance | Finance Canada (FIN)
  • Carina Gabriele, Director of Policy | Women and Gender Equality (WAGE)

I guess they thought they needed to get out there to try and counter the recent devastating story of Canada's late-term abortion reality thanks to Right Now.

Dying with Dignity just can't lobby enough

Dying with Dignity is on a roll. They lobbied nine different bureaucrats/MPs at the end of October. This is in addition to all of their previous lobbying. Apparently it's impossible to lobby too much when it comes to killing Canadians.

  • Stan Kutcher, Senator | Senate of Canada
  • Kristina Tesser-Derksen, Member of Parliament
  • Hedy Fry, Member of Parliament
  • Julie Robinson, Legal Counsel for Constitutional Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations | Justice Canada (JC)
  • Thomas Law, Advisor, Policy and Regional Affairs (ON) | Justice Canada (JC)
  • Brendan Hanley, Member of Parliament
  • Robert Oliphant, Member of Parliament
  • Bryn Savage, Policy Advisory, Minister of Health's Office
  • Karen Kusch, Senior Policy Advisor, Health Care Programs and Policy Directorate | Health Canada (HC)
  • Kajan Ratneswaran, Manager, Health Policy Branch | Health Canada (HC)
  • Pauline Rochefort, Member of Parliament

Read it and weep.

Government continues funding ideological LGBTQ and Abortion pet projects

The Canadian government has spent at least $5,321,040,71 ** on all things LGBTQ and or reproductive rights funding for as long as these grants have been recorded back to 2007. You can see the progression of the funding and how the number of grants increases every year. From 2007-2014 there are only three pages of data. From 2015 to the present there is a whopping 80 pages of data. Note also that there are only two projects identified for 2026 so far (early days).

With budget 2025 this preoccupation with LGBTQ funding and or reproductive rights funding will undoubtedly grow significantly in the coming months. In this budget:
  • 'Gender' is mentioned 99 times; '2SLGBTQI+' is mentioned 19 times
  • 'Gender-Based Analysis Plus' or 'GBA' is mentioned 23 times
(** NOTE on data: I have excluded any funding amendments so as to not duplicate dollars. This means that amendments that would have increased the funding dollars may be ignored, underestimating actual spending. Also there may be a few line items that may include the word pride and might not be of the LGBTQ pride variety.)

Liberal governments are obsessed with funding gender and abortion initiatives. Not just in Canada but around the world. With a staggering projected deficit this year of over $78 billion do we really need to let Liberal ideological pet causes be funded ad nauseum?

Fighting MAID - Priests must speak out against euthanasia

With a little help from AI: which countries perform the most euthanasia per capita?

  • The jurisdictions with the highest rates of euthanasia or physician-assisted dying (MAID) per capita are Canada and the Netherlands. Specifically, the Canadian province of Quebec reports the highest regional rate globally.
As a percentage of total deaths:
    • Quebec, Canada: Accounted for 6.8% of total deaths in a recent reporting period (April 2022-March 2023). In 2023, MAID accounted for 4.7% of all deaths across Canada.
    • Netherlands: Euthanasia and assisted suicide cases make up approximately 4.8% to over 5% of all deaths.
    • Belgium: The rate is around 2.3% of all deaths.
    • Switzerland: Assisted suicide accounts for approximately 1.5% to 2.3% of all deaths.

From Priests for Life recent newsletter on what we Catholics and clergy need to do to counter the euthanasia lobby:

The euthanasia forces have a very clear program. Make killing not just available but make it socially acceptable, seen as a natural alternative and morally obligatory. Once a decision is made, it must not be discussed, but just accepted and lauded.
...

I would challenge anyone reading this newsletter to realize that we must embark on several things at the same time, difficult though they may be. Firstly, our people are being educated by their front pages and newsfeeds. They are being bombarded by the pro-euthanasia campaign. We also need an engaging campaign teaching why suicide and being killed by physicians is wrong. This must be a sustained campaign - not just for one week or year. It must reach Catholics and non-practicing Catholics.

Secondly, we must be very clear about fighting for the conscience rights of family members who are responsible for those who are weak and vulnerable. The conscience rights of our health care workers, the social necessity of protecting the weak and the vulnerable must be protected.

Thirdly, these are life and death situations. We need to educate our own priests and deacons to be leaders in this area and to militate for their own legal protections. The pro-death campaign is well on its way in our hospitals, hospices, and nursing homes. Is the pro-life campaign really up to responding?

Fr. Tom Lynch (PFLC National President)
Dying with Dignity obsessively lobbies the government. They receive millions in donations every year, yet they have the nerve to get funding from the Canada Summer jobs program, a program that pro-life organizations are ineligible to receive.

All of us, clergy included, need to speak out publicly against Canada's evil euthanasia regime.

Focusing on only one group to revoke charitable status "dangerous precedent and unnecessary"

I received access to this ATIP to CRA - A-2023-162975:

Records related to the Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) policies and decision-making mechanisms when an organization applies for charitable tax status, and how the CRA makes decisions to conduct audits after receiving a complaint. As well all records related to the 2021 Liberal Party promise to no longer give charitable tax status to anti-abortion groups from October 29, 2022, to May 25, 2023.

It seems that a senior policy analyst had some serious concerns with the government's [read Justin Trudeau's] witch hunt against pro-life organizations, and in particular pregnancy care centres.

Subject: RE: 2023 Bl Report- call for topics

I believe you have extended the deadline for suggestions, but wanted to send you my thoughts so far:

How do other common law regulators of charity explain their approach to regulatory and risk framework, and what can we learn from them? [This is how I view Sharmila's question about balancing resources devoted to up front review (ADM) with downstream review (Compliance), we achieve the balance by focusing on risk]

In the era of fake news, do other common law of charity regulators (in the US, Australia, England and Wales, New Zealand), provide any guidance to charities about the regulatory consequences of circulating mis-information, and if so, what can we learn from this?

Driver: Ministerial mandate letters touch on mis-information regarding anti-abortion organizations. Given the concerns expressed by the TIWG about focusing on one type of group, perhaps we should look more generally at this issue (there are high profile media reports of other organizations spreading mis-information such as those denying the issues at residential schools, or spreading incorrect information about vaccine impacts). (emphasis added)

Identify if, and how, common law regulators of charity in other countries provide guidance to charities on how breaking the criminal law will impact charitable registration...

Then there's this repeated four times in the document:

In April 2022,TIWG, we heard from the roundtable: • There are concerns that the anti-abortion legislation targets only one type of charities [sic] for providing miss information [sic]. This is a dangerous precedent and unnecessary. The Agency already has the tools to address organizations providing miss information (emphasis added)

Government targeting just one group of charities for ideological reasons is never a good idea.
