Dying with Dignity has been very busy this summer. While everyone else was on vacation, DWDC was lobbying MPs about their euthanasia ideology.
(Reminder: lobbying for euthanasia is a very lucrative business for DWDC: donations were $3,791,596 in 2024; they had $9,231,137 in assets, of which $7,370,174 is in long term investments; their CEO earns between $200,000 and $249,999 a year. It is no wonder DWDC can lobby the government incessantly--they've got the finances to do so).
They managed to lobby all of these MPs between July 15 and August 29.
- Kristina Tesser Derksen, Member of Parliament | House of Commons
- Braedon Clark, Member of Parliament | House of Commons
- Kajan Ratneswaran, Manager, Health Policy Branch | Health Canada (HC)
- Patricia Lattanzio, Member of Parliament, PS Justice | House of Commons
- Leslie Church, Parliamentary Secretary, Labour, for Seniors, and for Children and Youth, and to the Minister of Jobs and Families (Persons with Disabilities) | House of Commons
DWDC's two current lobbyists are: Tom Potter, Blackbird Strategies, Ltd. and CEO Helen Long.
