Truth, lies, love and hate

It's Holy Week. The week before Jesus is crucified and dies to save man from his sins.

"What is truth?” retorted Pilate. 

I've been thinking about truth. And I've been thinking about lies. I've been thinking about love. And I've been thinking about hate. Do we build up? Or do we tear down?

Joyce Arthur of the Abortion Rights Coalition, spends a lot of time writing letters and petitions to politicians, accusing other groups of hate. 

In just one ATIP, ARCC's letters (and ARCC's followers' comments) to the Finance department use the word 'hate' 47 times when speaking about these other groups. Arthur alleges that these groups are 'hate groups', and therefore should have their Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) funding revoked. That's a lot of pages of very serious allegations against groups who support the sanctity of life.

What is truth? A very important question indeed.

Lies, lies and more lies

Many MPs tabled petitions against Justin Trudeau's pathetic pledge to remove the charitable status from Pregnancy Care Centres.

Here is the response received by one of these MPs:

Canada's charitable sector is diverse and vibrant. From education to social support services, an estimated 86,000 registered charities engage in public benefit activities that touch almost every aspect of Canadian life. Registered charities are provided important supports under the tax system, including an exemption from income tax and the ability to issue official donation receipts for any gifts that they receive. All Canadians should have the information they need to freely make decisions over their own bodies and have access to the medical care and services that are their legal right. Registered charities that provide reproductive health services are required to provide accurate and evidence-based information to women with respect to their rights and options at all stages of their pregnancy. In this regard, the Government of Canada is committed to taking action to ensure that organizations that provide dishonest counselling to pregnant women are ineligible for charitable registration, while respecting Canadians’ right to freedom of expression and freedom of conscience and religion under the Charter."

Notice the bolded lies embedded in the response:

All Canadians should have the information they need to freely make decisions over their own bodies and have access to the medical care and services that are their legal right.

The child in a woman's womb is not her own body; the the killing of a pre-born child is not medical care for the child; and abortion is not a right no matter how many times you say it is.

Ten 25-28 week gestation live birth abortions is not none

Action Canada claims:

"No providers in Canada offer abortion care beyond 23 weeks and 6 days. When they are beyond 23 weeks and 6 days, many Canadians end up having to travel to the United States to access services with little guidance or support from their governments."

Not true. In fact in 2019-2020, there were 84 live birth abortions of 21-24 week gestation, and 10 live birth abortions of 25-28 week gestation in Canada. That is not none. And it is for one year only. And these numbers do not include Quebec abortions. These are abortions that fail, resulting in a live human being being born. And left to die. That is something. And we should all be ashamed.

Liar liar pants on fire

Have you ever been lied to? I mean really really lied to? I have. Probably all of us have. And maybe some of us even do the lying.

Last night I dreamed I was with some people who were really really nice. I had spent some time with these people and was forming a relationship with them. Then I found out they were lying to me. They were actually terrorists. And they killed my partner. And I was captured and they wanted me to become a terrorist too. Or die.

It got me thinking about the times I've been lied to. How it felt to be betrayed. It doesn't feel very good.

Then I started thinking about some politicians who lie to us. Every day. Of course we usually know that they are lying to us. You can feel it. It's a different kind of lying than when the people close to us lie.

Then there are the people who lie about abortion. Some directly. Some indirectly. By not telling the full truth. Lies of omission. But the result is the same. They are still lies. People believe the lies and then they start spreading those lies.

Then there is the Catholic church, the one I belong to. Where some bishops have been lying. To cover up evil behaviour. To cover up abusing children and others. Trusts are broken. People are seriously traumatized and harmed.

Some people also lie about the people who run and work at crisis pregnancy centres. They spread all kinds of lies about these places. The liars will say things like the people who work at crisis pregnancy centres are lying to their clients. That they discriminate against LGBT people. That they lie about the physical and psychological risks of abortion.

So many lies. So many destroyed lives.

Speaking of terrorists. And lying. This week Canada's premier pro-abortion organization ARCC called prolifers terrorists. I am not kidding.

I watched two videos recently when I was at a cottage with two of my sisters.

One was called Hush about abortion, the other Fatal Flaws about euthanasia.

These two videos expose many of the lies of the abortion industry and the euthanasia industry. Both are well worth watching.

The world would be a much better place if people just stopped lying. That's all it would take to make a huge difference.

Satan likes it when we lie. It's good to remind ourselves of this sometimes. Me? I go to God to get relief from the lies. Not sure how I could handle the lies otherwise. I guess I'm lucky. How about you?

Trudeau digs his hole deeper and deeper

Remember this letter I wrote to Justin Trudeau back in 2014?

That letter had more than 400 names on it.

Well yesterday a signatory of that letter asked me if Justin had ever replied to that latter. This is what she said:

"could you please tell me whether Justin Trudeau ever replied to the letter (with many, many signatures, including mine) expressing concern about his requiring his Liberal-party colleagues to vote pro-choice (i.e., abortion). I am curious because I used to write correspondence for Ministers and MPs and it was unheard of, back then, to ignore or not to answer a letter."

Not only did I send Mr Trudeau many subsequent emails reminding him that I was waiting for a reply, but I also sent the letter via snail mail. I guess Trudeau thinks he's a cut above regular MPs, and he doesn't need to follow the same etiquette as other MPs do, because Trudeau never replied to that letter.

Now Trudeau is getting push back on his Federal Job Program which he's disallowed us from using. And he's claiming his standard nonsense that there is a charter right to abortion, aided and abetted by the pro-abortions and their leader, extremist Joyce Arthur.

Arthur also likes to say that there is a Charter right to abortion. Of course they're both wrong but that doesn't stop them from saying it. Over and over again. I guess they think we're stupid.

Even the Americans think Trudeau's anti-pro-life actions are reprehensible.
