Here is the final part of my most recent ATIP regarding Dying With Dignity.
The friendly, chummy, cozy relationship between Health Canada and DWDC is on full display in these 75 pages of the document where we see all the back and forth between the two about a webinar that Health Canada does for the pro-deathers. In particular this webinar has the Senior Analyst, Strategic Policy of the End of Life Care unit of Health Canada presenting data on MAID.
After the webinar the Health Canada analyst tells the pro-deathers how she just LOVES data. Remember, we are talking about data concerning the people in Canada who have been killed by euthanasia.
And the senior analyst looks forward to doing it again next year. So fun.

Hello,
Thank you so much to you for joining us today. XXXXX and XXXXX let me know that they could barely keep up with the rapid-fire questions from our audience, that's how engaging the session was today! In total, we had 411 attendees during the session. The numbers fluctuate slightly for technical issues or folks that join/leave, but we evened out at about 400.
I just wanted to say thank you both for such a fantastic webinar. Your insights, expertise, and enthusiasm was infectious throughout the session. Have a look at some of our feedback:
- Very interesting and valuable information. This data will be so important when our politicians are tasked with the potential upcoming legislation.
- An excellent overview of the data which has encouraged me to now go and read the full report.
- Annette's love of data and her passion was evident throughout. Thank you to both presenters - nice to see a colleague, Blain, building and adding to the Q&A. It is about evolution of data and getting this info out to dispel myths.
- This has been a first-class presentation in every way. The slides were so very good and easy to understand and great, easy-to-listen-to speakers. Thank you so much.
I know I speak for all of us here at DWDC when I say that it has been a privilege to work with you from start to finish, and that we at DWDC would be delighted to keep in touch for future collaborations, perhaps when the next Annual Report is published next year. I hope that you both have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
Sincerely,
