Boom. Right out of the gate. My most recent ATIP to Health Canada regarding Dying with Dignity identified this email below on page 1.
(Note: It took Health Canada a whopping 23 months for them to actually release this information that I requested.)

Hi Jacquie,
Nice to see you this weekend. Here is the paper that was recently published which I mentioned today.
Take care,
Helen
So what do we see here? CEO Helen Long cozying up to the Senior Policy Advisor at Health Canada--on a weekend no less. It's bad enough that Dying with Dignity lobbies government non stop, now they are doing it on weekends too.
Long sends her a copy of this "extended essay" called "Choosing Death in unjust conditions: hope autonomy and harm reduction".
This paper is six pages long and ties itself up into a pretzel trying to argue that people in unjust social circumstances can be autonomous when choosing MAID. It uses the term "harm reduction" ten times in the paper. It uses the word "hope" 31 times.
I'm trying to figure out how killing people because they are in unjust social circumstances can be considered harm reduction and or hopeful. God help us.
I will be writing more about this ATIP in the coming days.
